10 New Year’s Resolutions for 2021

2020 is coming to a close. Have you thought about your resolutions for 2021? As you know, this year helped shed some light on how important your health is. This upcoming year, take care of yourself by implementing healthier habits. We share some ideas to get you started.
1. Cook Something New Each Week
If you’re eating the same meals day in and day out, it will get repetitive. One of the best ways to make your meals more fun is by trying something new! Each week, pick a new recipe from a cookbook you have or a recipe you find online, and try it out. You never know; you may discover your new favorite meal!
2. Create a Cleaning Schedule
A clean house equals a clear mind. In addition to having peace of mind, it is also healthier to have your house clean overall. If you do not have a set process in place, take the time to map out a schedule of when certain rooms or items will be cleaned.
3. Drink Less Alcohol
Although drinking alcohol may be a fun thing to do socially, overindulging it is not good for your health. Either try to limit or cut out alcohol to cut out the extra carbs and sugars.
4. Quit Smoking
In general, smoking is known to cause many terrible health effects on your body. If you smoke, you may want to make it a personal goal of yours to quit.
5. Eat Veggies Regularly
In addition to the healthy nutrients found in vegetables, it also helps keep your weight down. Try to eat 3-4 portions of vegetables per day.
6. Drink More Water
This year, do your best to drink more water. Many of us are guilty of not drinking enough of it, but it’s especially helpful in clearing out the toxins from your body and your entire system.
7. Invest In Your Skin
Your skin is the largest organ in your body, so make sure to take care of it. Make sure you keep it clean, moisturize and create a skincare routine.
8. Limit Your Screen Time
Even though we are spending more time at home, be cautious of the amount of screen time you are spending. The blue light from the screen isn’t good for you, so be mindful of the time you are spending. Set app updates on your phone and if you constantly sit at a computer, consider blue light glasses.
9. Read More Books
Keep your mind alert by continuously reading. Reading is a great way to enhance the mind and teach you about new topics you may want to learn about.
10. Get More Sleep
Getting great sleep is important because it allows your body to be energized for the day ahead, it makes for a better mindset and it helps your body repair yourself. Treat your body right and it will give back to you.
