How Have Visits At South Coast Medical Group OC Changed Since the Start of COVID-19?
The medical industry has experienced a learning curve that hospitals all over the world have had to overcome.
South Coast Medical Group OC has been nimble while adapting to the ever-changing situation. This situation has made the South Coast Medical Group OC team stronger and has shown us the importance of communicating with our colleagues and coordinating with our patients.
What South Coast Medical Group OC is Doing:
During this time, we require that our patients wear face masks in our offices. If the patient does not have a face mask, we will provide one for the patient. Additionally, we will provide gloves if the patient requests them. We have also taken extra measures to make sure that we encourage social distancing of at least six feet.
Upon arrival, we separate patients with respiratory symptoms from patients with non-respiratory symptoms. If the patient has respiratory symptoms, they are asked to wait in the car and call us. During this time, we will screen them to decide what the next steps are.
At this time, South Coast Medical Group OC also has a tent set up outside where we will administer nasal swabs and other tests to help diagnose if the patient has the coronavirus. After each appointment, we thoroughly clean our equipment and each room that has been occupied by patients.

Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.
