5 Tips to Help You Stay Healthy During Quarantine
Coronavirus has affected our lives significantly. In order to continue serving our patients, we have implemented virtual appointments to limit in-person interactions due to social distancing measures. Your health is vital, and we want to ensure that we give you the tools to help you stay healthy, especially during this difficult time.
Discover how you can stay healthy while staying indoors:
Minimize Trips to the Grocery Store
The grocery store is challenging to navigate. Customers are touching the same products, walking close to one another through the aisles, and bringing in their own bags that may be carrying germs from other places.
Grocery stores have done their best to take precautions and to encourage or even mandate customers to wear masks and sanitize, but this does not guarantee you won’t get sick.
Although going to the grocery store is essential, try to make sure you write down everything you need to tide you over for a week or two instead of making multiple, unnecessary trips.
Have A Healthy Diet
Eating healthy can boost your immune system and helps you stay fit. Make sure the next time you go to the grocery store to stock up on staple items such as milk, bread, and eggs that you also purchase items that promote a well-balanced diet.
Be Mindful of Takeout
Although takeout is convenient, it is not always the healthiest food option. If you do choose to order takeout, make sure that your food is properly packaged and cooked for food safety purposes. Another important thing to remember is if you do have leftovers, make sure you eat them in a timely manner and reheat them at the proper temperature to kill any bacteria that could get you sick.
Keep Your Social Distance
No matter where you go, make sure you maintain a distance of at least six feet from others. This reduces your chances of taking in the infectious particles that could get you sick.
Stay Positive
Health is not only physical, but it is also mental. Although times are tough, it is important to keep a positive mindset not only for yourself but for your loved ones. Do whatever you need to do to reduce stress and relax.
