South Coast Medical Group OC And The Aliso Viejo Community
As we celebrate 20 years of our practice, we are reflecting on our time spent in the beautiful community of Aliso Viejo. We asked one of our Physician Assistants, Kristina Preston, to explain what South Coast Medical Group OC means to Aliso Viejo.
She said, “We’ve been in practice now for 20 years; so that office building that we are in is the same office building that we’ve always run out of.”
Being the first family practice in our community, our patients recognize the experience we have with not only medicine but being an integral part of our southern Orange County city.
“Patients know us as a medical home. They know us as a place they can go if they have an urgent matter. They know that they will find somebody that really cares about them. They will find a provider that they have either seen before or a new provider who is super excited about helping them with their health care journey.”
Because of the care that each of our team members provides, we turn Urgent Care into Family Care. We have many people that began coming to us for a minor issue in Urgent Care that has now grown into long term patients.
“It is nice for them to know that we are always there. We are there on weekends; we are there on weekdays. There’s always somebody there to help them, whatever their need might be.”
The health of our patients doesn’t revolve around a 9-5 window on the weekdays. That’s why we are available every day of the week.
“What I really love the most about Aliso Viejo is the community aspect. We have such a diverse population here, and we have such a great patient population who really care a lot about their health. We are so spoiled here, where most of our patients really do want to take an active role in their health care and their well-being. It makes it easy as providers to help them, help themselves.”
There is a reason that South Coast Medical Group OC has thrived over the past 20 years in Aliso Viejo, and it is because of our wonderful patients. Being able to work side by side with patients to create and achieve health goals is what makes our jobs so rewarding.
“The city really promotes being outdoors, exercising and being healthy. It’s really a great community to be a part of.”
